Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate cost estimates for manufacturing projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive bid proposals.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
• Identify and evaluate potential cost-saving opportunities and alternative manufacturing processes.
• Maintain and update pricing databases and historical cost data for future estimations.
• Present detailed estimates and supporting documentation to management and clients.
• Assess risks and contingencies associated with project costs and timelines.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience (3+ years) in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications.
• Proficiency in calculating material, labor, and overhead costs, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes, materials, and supply chain dynamics.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to develop accurate and competitive bids.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or specialized estimating software.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or value engineering.
• Direct hands-on experience in a manufacturing production environment.
• Understanding of cost accounting principles and financial analysis.
