South Carolina Nursing Job Details

• Location: Columbia, SC 29220 (South Carolina healthcare jobs)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 8, 2025 – December 8, 2025)
• Setting: Interventional Radiology (IR) Unit
• Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts (07:30 – 18:00), 40 hours/week
• Call: Rotating call every 3rd to 5th weekend and one weeknight/week; 45-minute call-back required
• Patient Population: Adults (outpatients, inpatients, ICU)
• Procedures: ~15 procedures/day, including IR, CT, and ultrasound-guided interventions
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2370-$2430

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license (required for South Carolina nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse or in acute care nursing
• Current ACLS certification
• At least 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR
• Ability to take rotating call (weekends and weeknights) with 45-minute response time
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Willingness to float to other qualified healthcare units as needed

IR RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
• Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after IR procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective patient care
• Administer medications and moderate sedation as needed
• Document patient care activities accurately in EPIC EMR
• Respond promptly to on-call duties and clinical emergencies
• Participate in orientation, training modules, and ongoing nursing education
