Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration and maintenance of precision measuring equipment.
• Conduct dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using various metrology tools.
• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) for part inspection.
• Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Ensure all measurement activities comply with quality standards and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to measurement equipment and processes.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and equipment documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in using a wide range of precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs).
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with CMM programming and operation, or other advanced metrology equipment and software.
• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality or metrology environment, or an Associate's degree in a technical field.
• Understanding of calibration processes, measurement uncertainty, and quality control principles.

Bonus Qualifications

• CMM programming proficiency (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS)
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) or Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification
• Experience with advanced 3D scanning or optical metrology systems
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) software and data analysis tools
