VP of Sales

- High visibility, high impact — As one of the earliest leaders, you’ll sit at the intersection of sales, growth, product, and leadership. Your decisions will shape product-market fit, go-to-market direction, and ultimately, our success with investors, users, and partners.
- Base Compensation is DOE, $150,000 to $185,000 per year.
What We Need You to Do
- Lead the design and execution of a scalable sales strategy tailored to both B2C‑ and B2B‑adjacent use cases (e.g., partnerships with organizations, communities, enterprises, or complementary platforms).
- Build, recruit, and manage a high-performing sales team (SDRs, Account Executives, possibly Customer Success), and instill a culture of accountability, data‑driven performance, and teamwork.
- Develop and own full sales funnel — from lead generation and outbound/inbound outreach, to qualifying prospects, negotiating deals, closing contracts, and managing renewals/upsell.
- Establish pricing, packaging, and packaging strategies for monetization, working in coordination with product and marketing to ensure value alignment.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and customer success teams to surface market feedback, shape product roadmap, and ensure that what we build solves real user/business needs.
- Build and manage forecasting, CRM, and sales operations — define KPIs, track performance, manage pipeline, and report up to leadership/investors.
- Identify and build strategic partnerships , alliances, or channel opportunities that accelerate growth or provide distribution leverage.
- Represent everfriends.ai in external forums — with investors, at conferences, with prospective partners — helping articulate mission, product value, and growth vision.
What You Bring to the Table
- 8–12+ years of sales leadership experience — ideally scaling a SaaS or AI‑driven platform, from early-stage to growth phase, including building a sales org from scratch.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets, growing recurring revenue, and scaling teams under dynamic conditions.
- Comfort working in early-stage/founder‑led environments : you are resourceful, hands‑on, able to operate with ambiguity, and skilled at turning rough ideas into structured execution.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking : you understand pricing, packaging, go-to-market strategy, and how to align sales strategy to long-term business goals.
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder — adept at negotiating deals, managing key partners, and working across functions.
- Data-driven mindset — you use metrics to guide decisions, optimize processes, and hold yourself and your team accountable.
- Technical fluency — while not an engineer, you’re comfortable understanding and communicating AI-based value propositions and working closely with product/engineering stakeholders.
- Leadership and culture-building ability — you’re someone who mentors others, attracts top talent, and helps build a team climate rooted in ambition, collaboration, and excellence.
