We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrician / Panel Builder Manager to serve as a working manager for the electrical assembly team supporting custom automated equipment. This role blends hands-on panel building and machine wiring with leadership and project oversight. No two projects are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and custom work.
You will lead electrical assembly from concept through installation, working directly with schematics, wiring diagrams, control panels, PLCs, and machine electrical systems , while mentoring and supporting a team of electricians and panel builders.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $36–$44/hr , depending on experience.
- Overtime paid after 40 hours, including travel time.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a working manager and technical lead for electrical assembly.
- Lead and support panel builders and electricians.
- Perform hands-on electrical assembly, panel wiring, and machine wiring.
- Read, interpret, and build from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues on control panels and automated machinery.
- Ensure electrical builds meet schematics, quality standards, and documentation.
- Coordinate with engineering and other departments to meet project timelines.
- Support run-off, teardown, and on-site installation activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe electrical assembly area.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a panel builder, electrician, or machine wiring technician.
- Strong experience with electrical assembly, control panels, and wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience wiring and troubleshooting PLCs and machine electrical systems.
- Proven experience in a lead, senior, or working-manager role.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Solid mechanical aptitude with a focus on safety and quality.
- Proficiency with MS Office; ERP experience a plus.
- High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred.
- Self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable supporting on-site installations and system startups, including up to approximately 30% travel , primarily domestic, with international travel as needed.
