Calibration Technician | DeWitt, MI

Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine calibration of a wide range of measurement and test equipment.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and documentation in accordance with quality procedures.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust malfunctioning instrumentation to meet specifications.
• Develop, review, and update calibration procedures and work instructions.
• Ensure all calibration activities comply with internal quality systems and external regulatory standards.
• Manage the calibration schedule and recall system for all plant equipment.
• Identify and implement improvements to calibration processes and equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in metrology, electronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent military/technical training.
• 2+ years of experience performing calibration of various test and measurement equipment.
• Strong understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and metrology concepts.
• Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540, or similar.
• Proficiency in using calibration software and standard office applications, with strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS software for calibration tracking and work orders.
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 accreditation standards.
• Basic understanding of PLC logic or industrial control systems.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or equivalent.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics or P&IDs.
