Project Manager

Description

A client of TEKsystems needs to hire a Project Manager to join their PMO. The right candidate should be about 3-5 years into their project management career, so they have managed projects before and have some fundamental experience but are open to being coached into how the company manages their projects. Someone with only project coordinator experience will not be the right fit, they need to have truly managed projects. This person will be assigned to projects across all different groups within the organization including infrastructure, networking, COTS software deployments, etc.

Candidates will need to have extremely strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple teams involved in the execution of projects. They should be comfortable leading meetings with 20+ people. They will be using Microsoft PPM Sensei for tracking, but open to experience with other project tracking tools as long as they're open to learning.

Most projects within the organization use waterfall methodology. Some of the external vendors they partner with are Agile so understanding Agile would be beneficial but not required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Novi, MI.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Novi,MI.
