Salary Range: $45,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
• Verify received materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and engineering specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately, including acceptance or rejection status.
• Identify, segregate, and label non-conforming materials according to established procedures.
• Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for defective or non-compliant parts.
• Utilize and maintain various inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, and quality teams on material discrepancies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications, including GD&T.
• Demonstrated competence in using various precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately identify visual and dimensional defects.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and non-conformance reporting processes.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry, record keeping, and utilizing quality software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with automated inspection equipment programming or operation (e.g., CMM, Vision Systems).
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles and software.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
• Experience interacting with suppliers regarding quality non-conformances.
