Job Summary
The Host is the first and last impression of FH Brunch Factory. This role is responsible for greeting guests warmly, managing waitlists and reservations, and ensuring seamless seating arrangements that maximize guest experience and efficiency. The Host maintains an upbeat, welcoming attitude and plays a critical role in setting the tone for the restaurant’s energy and hospitality.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Seating Coordination:
- Greet guests enthusiastically upon arrival and provide a warm, friendly first impression.
- Manage reservations and walk-in guests, providing accurate wait times and ensuring a smooth flow of seating.
- Guide guests to their tables while engaging them with light conversation to enhance their dining experience.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and managers to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain a keen awareness of table rotation, balancing guest satisfaction with restaurant efficiency.
Hospitality & Atmosphere Management: - Uphold FH Brunch Factory’s high-energy, factory-themed environment by engaging with guests in a fun and professional manner.
- Assist in creating an inviting atmosphere by keeping the host stand and entrance area clean, organized, and welcoming.
- Provide guests with menus and information about any specials or promotions.
- Offer exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Operations & Teamwork: - Monitor and update the seating chart in real-time to ensure tables are used efficiently.
- Assist with takeout and to-go orders, ensuring accuracy and a seamless guest experience.
- Support other front-of-house staff as needed, such as helping with resetting tables or assisting servers during busy periods.
- Follow all company policies and safety regulations to maintain a secure, clean, and organized workspace.
Qualifications & Skills: - Personality is key! A naturally friendly, engaging, and outgoing demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience as a host, front desk attendant, or in customer service is a plus but not required.
- Basic knowledge of reservation systems and POS systems is a bonus.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and presentable at all times.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally (e.g., moving chairs or menus).
- Comfortable working in a high-energy, bustling environment.
