Key Responsibilities

• Calibrate and maintain precision measuring equipment and instruments.
• Perform dimensional inspections of manufactured parts, tools, and fixtures.
• Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other advanced metrology systems.
• Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to measurement accuracy and equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of calibration records, inspection results, and equipment history.
• Provide technical support and training on metrology principles and equipment usage.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Hands-on experience operating a wide range of precision measuring instruments, including CMMs.
• Demonstrated experience with CMM programming and measurement data analysis software.
• Strong understanding of metrology principles, calibration processes, and quality standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM or Vision System programming (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, OGP Measure-X).
• Advanced understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), potentially with certification.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis software.
• Familiarity with CAD software for model-based inspection or programming.
• Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO/IEC 17025.
