The Atheneum Suite Hotel is seeking a bartending supervisor for our Lobby Bar, serving craft cocktails and contemporary American food. We are looking for someone who is committed to excellence in friendly service, growing sales, and looking for a company you can grow with. This is a Bartender position with leadership responsibilities. Pay rate includes hourly plus tips
The Bar supervisor will take the responsibility for the following duties on a regular basis:
- Bartend, manage and oversee the lobby bar operations on a day to day basis
- Recruitment and development of the team
- Engaging with our guests and ensuring their satisfaction
- Oversight of cleanliness
- Create and implement seasonal cocktail lists
- Optimizing profits by controlling labor & beverage costs
- Monthly inventories
- Ordering liquor/beer/wine
- Support current staff in any way needed
Supervisors should have the following qualifications in order to successfully meet the demands of the job:
- Previous restaurant/bar experience
- Developed leadership and communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Training in food safety and TIPS certification a plus
- Experience with long/flexible shifts
- Ability to keep inventory organized
