Maintenance & Facilities Specialist
Maintenance & Custodial Manager Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge:
- Ability to read, understand and follow core values
- Safe operation, & maintenance of farm equipment
- Basic and general cleaning methods
- Basic and general building maintenance methods
- Custodial practices, machinery and related equipment
- The occupational hazards and safety precaution of the trade
- Customer service standards and procedures
- Understand and follow basic and routine verbal and written instructions and procedures
- Read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures
- Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing
- Work as a team member in a cooperative work environment
- Safely use arena equipment
- Safely use cleaning equipment and supplies
- Perform a variety of custodial and cleaning tasks
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work on a ladder and work overhead
- Various in/outdoor environments; exposure to dust, dirt, fumes and chemicals
- Requires routine work on ladders and around operating equipment
- Valid driver license
- One year custodial experience preferred
- 5 years arena experience preferred
- Requires a self motivated individual: ability to work within supervisors guideline but with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform duties and communicate in a positive and professional manner
- Perform all custodial and cleaning duties for off site facilities Operate and maintain college equipment at the Agripark Provide minor facility and equipment maintenance in coordination with supervisor directives Assist with other custodial and facility related duties outside the work area as required (special events and function setup and teardowns, moving furniture/equipment, special work-load coverage, etc.) Perform routine and preventive maintenance Snow removal Other duties as assigned
