Bobst Folder/Gluer Operator
Location: Troy, MI
Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

Overview:
Vomela Commercial, a division of one of the nation’s largest and most diverse print conglomerates, is seeking an experienced Bobst Folder/Gluer Operator to join our team in Troy, Michigan. This role is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of folder/gluer equipment, as well as packaging, labeling, and delivering finished work to the designated area. While prior experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform job setup (“Make Ready”) by reviewing job jackets, preparing folder/gluer machines, and verifying job specifications
• Operate folder/gluer equipment efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
• Package and label completed jobs neatly for shipping, including separating and identifying customer samples
• Complete post-run tasks such as inserting samples into jackets and reporting shortages
• Transport completed jobs to the delivery area
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of folder/gluer machines
• Operate cutting equipment as needed, including programming jobs and performing quality checks
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning properly

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating folding and/or gluing equipment preferred
• General knowledge of folding machinery and mechanical principles
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Good vision (natural or corrected)
