Salary Range: $50,000 - $82,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.) according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts, ensuring proper alignment and secure clamping.
• Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform in-process inspection of parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine alarms, tool wear, and minor operational issues.
• Conduct routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and tool changes as required.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of G-code programming and machine setup procedures.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
• Ability to perform in-process quality checks and troubleshoot machining issues.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM)
• Proficiency with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
• Ability to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives
