Chief Financial Officer

KLK Executive Solutions has been retained by Presque Isle Electric and Gas Cooperative (PIEG) to find an experienced, highly knowledgable and strategic financial professional for their Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position.

In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the cooperative, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role ensures accurate and timely financial data, supports decision-making, and works to optimize financial performance while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic and collaborative leader who will partner closely with the CEO and executive team to advance the cooperative's financial objectives while directing all accounting operations and personnel.
Responsibilities include: Financial management and reporting, regulatory compliance and rate management, capital planning and financing, power supply and risk management, board Relations and governance, member services and rate design, treasury and investment management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

Significant experience in accounting or financial management (10+ years at management level), with experience in the utility or cooperative sectors preferred.
