Salary Range: $53,000 - $87,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC Swiss-style lathes for precision part manufacturing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, G-code programs, and technical specifications to ensure accurate production.
• Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators) to maintain part tolerances.
• Adjust machine offsets, replace worn tooling, and make necessary program edits to optimize production and quality.
• Monitor machine operation, detect malfunctions, and perform minor maintenance to ensure continuous operation.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Document production output, quality control data, and machine performance logs accurately.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years direct experience operating CNC Swiss-type lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering blueprints and GD&T.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, optical comparators).
• Demonstrated ability to perform tool changes, offset adjustments, and basic machine troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of in-process quality control and material inspection.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code, M-code) or CAM software for Swiss lathes.
• Experience with advanced machine troubleshooting and minor repairs.
• Ability to grind or sharpen cutting tools for optimal performance.
• Familiarity with multiple CNC Swiss Lathe brands (e.g., Star, Citizen, Tsugami, Ganesh).
• Experience with CMM operation for advanced part inspection.
