Job Summary

5th Avenue Furniture is a family owned and operated business expanding into a new location in Southfield Michigan. Our goal is to provide a smooth, efficient, and friendly buying process for our customers. We are looking for sales associates to provide a genuine and organic experience for the everyday customer. Enthusiasm and Integrity are required to be successful in this position.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma/GED
• Reliable Transportation
• 2 years of Sales Experience Wanted - Not Required
• Willingness to learn
• Point of Sales System Experience/Baseline Computer skills
• Critical Thinking

• 60 Day Probationary period at $17/Hour. Commission after 60 day probationary period.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
• Communicate product knowledge to customers to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area to create an inviting atmosphere.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly with professionalism
• Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective customer interaction.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Build value of product to a variety of customers
• Follow up phone call & emails to maximize sales performance
• Carry out monthly goals and expectations

• Ability to work a full retail schedule including weekdays and weekends

Physical Demands

• On your feet for extended periods of time
• Must be capable of lifting and moving furniture with a limitation of 50lbs
