We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Material Planner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient scheduling and management of materials required for production. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and support production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Planning: Develop and implement effective material planning strategies to ensure material availability while minimizing excess inventory.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and take corrective actions to resolve discrepancies.
• Supplier Coordination: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
• Production Scheduling: Collaborate with production teams to align material availability with production schedules and adjust plans as needed.
• Data Analysis: Analyze material usage trends, forecast demand, and generate reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support lean manufacturing principles.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in material planning, inventory management, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
• Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset.
  • Highly organized and detail-focused.

Work Environment : This position operates in both an office and a manufacturing site environment and may be required to work at multiple facilities depending on workload.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and twist. Occasionally required to lift/push/pull up to 25lbs.

Expected Hours of Work: This position requires regular full-time work, including extended hours as required to meet the needs of the business.

Direct Reports: This position does not have direct reports.

Travel: This position requires frequent local travel and occasional overnight travel up to 10%.

Travel: This position requires travel typically for 2 weeks at a time, with alternating weekends home; install lengths vary from 3 months to a year depending on project size.
