Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This role supports students across both Extended School Year (ESY) and the regular academic year, providing up to 25 hours per week from late June through early August, and up to 35 hours weekly during the normal school calendar starting mid-August. All services are provided fully onsite, facilitating meaningful, face-to-face support and collaboration.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Michigan school social worker certification (310) required; please submit documentation with your application
• Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in special education environments, is highly desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills for building trust with students, families, and school staff
• Ability to provide evidence-based interventions and individualized support plans
• If not certified, arrangements for supervision must be made prior to an interview
• Familiarity with special education compliance and documentation

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct social work services to K-12 students, supporting emotional, behavioral, and social development
• Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and provide crisis support as needed
• Serve as an advocate and resource for students and their families, bridging communication between school and home
• Maintain documentation according to school, district, and state policies
