Physical Therapy Assistant
My company is called Living Solutions Plus, PLLC (livingsolutionsplus.com), and we are a mobile outpatient therapy company. We go to the homes of adults throughout Oakland County, MI and provide OT, PT, and home assessments/modifications. This is a relatively new and small company with steady growth anticipated this year. Currently, the position is part-time (around 12 visits per week), however with the opportunity to grow into larger caseload as we add clients. We are constantly getting new referrals, so the opportunity is definitely there.
I am looking for a PTA to complete physical therapy treatment sessions for patients inside their home or in assisted living facilities, under the clinical guidance of our Physical Therapist.
Schedules are flexible and pay is negotiable, you may choose which days/times you see your patients (with agreement from the patient). No evenings, weekends, or holidays are required unless you decide on those hours. We reimburse for mileage.

PURPOSE
To provide the highest level of client care in compliance with APTA practice guidelines and scope of practice in clients homes in accordance with physician’s orders; to ensure client satisfaction, and compliance with the APTA Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an accredited, approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in Michigan. Must comply with all Michigan requirements for continuing education.
- Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS)
- Must know and follow the APTA Code of Ethics and Standard of Practice.
- Must have experience working with clients in their home.
- Must have experience working with older adults.
- CPR certified.
- Strong organization and communication skills.
- Must be reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Provide outstanding client care and appropriate treatment in coordination with primary Physical Therapist following established clinical procedures and techniques including:
- Performs appropriate and standardized assessments and follow through with the established plan of care for each client
- Provides appropriate treatment following established procedures and techniques, and utilizes best practice and evidence-based practice.
- Maintains the highest level of client confidentiality
- Provides documentation for all evaluations, treatments, home programs, and MD updates in compliance with regulatory, licensing, payer, accrediting and company guidelines.
- Maintain exceptional client, healthcare provider and staff relationships
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Practice PT consistent with the APTA Code of Ethics
- Maintain up to date techniques and trends in physical therapy by attending continuing education.
- Ensure that client notes are completed on a daily basis.
- Assist in tracking client information – return to Dr. dates, benefit information.
- Produce doctor update forms as needed.
- Assist in the marketing as requested.
- Maintains compliance under HIPAA and OSHA, Medicare and other insurances, State and federal regulations, Any other
- Report all client related issues to the physical therapist and owner.
- Attend and participate in all staff meetings.
- Work with the owner to ensure quality assurance and client satisfaction.
- Meet with the team members as necessary to discuss client care and other clinical issues.
- Specific tasks and other related duties as requested and/or assigned by the owner.
- Maintains professional license, and malpractice/general liability insurance and provide current copy to owner each year.
- Phones are to be kept away from clients as texting, calling and internet surfing are not permitted during client care and when driving.
- Notice of termination of employment and requests for any time off must be given a four-week advanced notification.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
