Job SummaryThe Production Supervisor is a key member of our operations team, responsible for overseeing daily plant activities, ensuring production goals are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role collaborates closely with operations, sales, and finance teams to deliver high-quality products and exceptional service.
Essential DutiesThe Production Supervisor manages plant staff and daily operations, schedules production to meet customer demands, and ensures adequate coverage during absences. This role oversees raw material and finished goods inventory, promotes a strong safety culture, and ensures compliance with OSHA standards. The supervisor provides on-the-job training, reviews daily paperwork, enters purchase orders and production data, and ensures all quality control guidelines are followed. This is a team-oriented position that may include additional responsibilities as needed.
QualificationsCandidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of production management or supervisory experience. Strong leadership and teamwork skills are essential, along with experience in quality management, continuous improvement, and inventory control. Mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and other systems are required. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
Physical DemandsThis position requires regular standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, and use of hands. Effective communication and the ability to perform physical tasks are essential.
Conducting background checks, employee eligibility verifications, and schedule pre-hire screening requirements, including but not limited to drug testing and physicals is one of the essential duties for this position.
