Salary Range: $41,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding operations according to specifications and blueprints.
• Inspect welds for quality, integrity, and adherence to standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment and tools.
• Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, grinding, and fitting.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Document welding processes, materials used, and inspection results.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to resolve welding issues.
• Operate and maintain other manufacturing equipment as needed.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary welding certification or degree preferred.
• Proven experience with various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick) in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with welding equipment, tools, and safety procedures.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy and material properties relevant to welding.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with NDT methods like Dye Penetrant or Ultrasonic testing.
• - Certification in specific welding processes (e.g., TIG, MIG, Flux-Cored) beyond basic qualification.
• - Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• - Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and weld symbols.
• - Experience with robotic welding systems and programming.
