We are looking for a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Grand Blanc, Michigan. This role involves working directly with consumer loans, car loans, and credit card accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve overdue balances. The position is crucial for maintaining financial operations and offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of our Member Solutions department.
Responsibilities:• Manage a queue of overdue loans, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolutions.
• Make outbound calls to members to discuss past-due balances and payment options.
• Investigate account discrepancies and provide accurate information to members.
• Collaborate with team members to meet department goals and reduce delinquency rates.
• Utilize the organization's core system to track and update account statuses.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations during collection activities.
• Maintain detailed records of communication and actions taken for each account.
• Provide exceptional customer service while handling sensitive financial matters.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the collections workflow.
• Support team efforts to achieve monthly and quarterly performance targets.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple accounts effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with consumer loans, car loans, and credit card account processes.
• Proficiency in using financial systems and software for tracking account data.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• All candidates are required to complete pre-employment screenings prior to employment.
• Bondability clearance must be obtained to meet organizational requirements.
