Radiation Control Technician Details:

• Contract to Hire position
• $25.00 /annually
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)

• Radiation Monitoring: Perform daily radiological surveys, and contamination monitoring using specialized detection instruments.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce Radiation Work Permits (RWPs), establish controlled zones, and ensure compliance with federal (NRC/DOE) regulations.
• Personnel Protection: Monitor, document, and control worker exposure and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Incident Response: Provide emergency response to spills, abnormal events, or high-radiation alarms.

Radiation Control Technician Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate degree in nuclear technology is preferred.
• Equivalent experience from serving in the military specifically, the U.S. Navy.

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
