Dispatcher
The Equipment Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and tracking the movement of equipment to and from job sites. This role ensures that the right equipment is delivered on time, in good condition, and in compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The Equipment Dispatcher serves as a key communication link between field crews, drivers, vendors, and management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule and dispatch equipment to job sites based on operational needs
• Monitor equipment availability, location, and usage
• Coordinate equipment deliveries, pickups, transfers, and returns
• Communicate with drivers, operators, supervisors, and vendors to resolve scheduling issues
• Maintain accurate records of equipment movement, maintenance status, and utilization
• Verify equipment readiness, including inspections and required documentation
• Respond to urgent requests, breakdowns, or schedule changes in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with safety, DOT, and company policies
• Assist with inventory control and equipment tracking systems
• Support maintenance teams by scheduling repairs and preventative maintenance
Qualifications:
• 4 years proven experience
• Previous dispatching, logistics, or equipment coordination experience preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS systems, and basic computer applications
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Knowledge of construction, industrial, or fleet equipment is an asset
