We have an immediate opening for an experienced Boring Mill Operator with an automation company.
Will be responsible for setting up and operating large boring machines.
Day Shift-Start Time, 6AM
Duties and Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics to determine the sequence of machining operations.
- Select, mount, and secure cutting tools and workpieces. Set machine parameters such as feeds, speeds, and depth.
- Inspect finished workpieces using precision measuring to ensure compliance with blueprint tolerances.
- Maintain a clean workspace, perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment, and adhere to strict shop safety protocols.
Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in manual or CNC machining.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and understand Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Strong grasp of applied shop math .
- Strong spatial, troubleshooting, and analytical reasoning to bridge the gap between technical machining execution and high-level operations.
- Must have own rolling toolbox and tools.
