Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and configure production machinery and equipment for new jobs or changeovers.
• Install, adjust, and calibrate tooling, fixtures, and other machine components according to specifications.
• Perform first-piece inspections and ensure product quality meets established standards before production starts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or operational issues during setup to minimize downtime.
• Optimize machine parameters and settings to achieve desired production rates, quality, and efficiency.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine cleaning of machines and work areas.
• Document setup sheets, machine settings, and process parameters for future reference and continuous improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Demonstrated experience with machine setup, tooling changes, and calibration in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic machine malfunctions and process issues.
• Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with PLC programming or robotic systems.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for design verification or tool path analysis.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
