Machine Builder

We are seeking a skilled Machine Builder who is capable of constructing mechanical machine components according to blueprints, installing sub-assemblies, verifying mechanical functions, and conducting final machine set-up. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with electrical and hydraulic technicians throughout the machine build process.

• Build mechanical machine components as per blueprints.
• Install sub-assemblies and verify mechanical functions.
• Conduct final machine set-up.
• Collaborate with electrical and hydraulic technicians to complete the machine build process.

• 4+ years of machine building experience.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints.
• Knowledge of spindle building, gear boxes, alignments, aligning rails, and measuring.
• Possession of a personal set of basic tools and indicators.

• Experience with tube bending.
• Fabrication skills.
• Mig/Tig welding experience.

The role operates on a shop floor with a team-oriented culture. The work schedule is 1st shift from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with the expectation to stay later as needed, including Saturdays from 6 am to 2 pm. Employees are encouraged to be hands-on and committed to learning.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ann Arbor, MI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
