Key Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, components, and MRO items.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to secure favorable agreements.
• Generate and manage purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with production and planning teams to forecast material needs and optimize inventory levels.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality or supply.
• Resolve supply chain issues such as delays, quality discrepancies, and invoice errors.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in procurement or buying, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for purchasing, inventory, and order management.
• Demonstrated strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Solid understanding of supply chain principles and inventory control.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications or blueprints.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent process improvement experience.
• Proficiency with advanced ERP/MRP modules (e.g., SAP Ariba, Oracle Cloud SCM) or e-procurement platforms.
• Experience with international sourcing, customs, and logistics.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
• Professional certification such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional).
