Position Title: Assistant Professor of Finance

Department: Department of Accountancy, Business and Economics

Example of Duties:

The Department of Accountancy, Business, and Economics invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Finance, scheduled to begin in August 2026. This is a term contract where the successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate finance courses, including a 4/4 teaching load, while also supporting expectations for student advising. Undergraduate courses are offered face to face, however MBA graduate courses are offered online. Coursework may include content such as Managerial Finance, Investments and Security Analysis, International Financial Management, Financial Modeling, Financial Derivatives, and Entrepreneurial Finance. There may be an opportunity to develop new course content as well. It is expected that the successful candidate will maintain a commitment to excellence in teaching, diversity, scholarship, and service as defined by Adrian College.

Minimum requirements:

• Masters or Ph.D. in Finance

The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Desired Qualifications:

• Preference will be given to candidates with previous teaching experience in higher education.
• The ability to teach economic content would be beneficial.
