Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and ensure material availability.
• Oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of materials to support production schedules.
• Collaborate with production, sales, and engineering departments to align material plans with demand forecasts.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor performance for on-time delivery and quality.
• Implement and maintain accurate inventory control systems and processes, including cycle counting.
• Analyze material usage, identify trends, and develop forecasts to anticipate future material needs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the materials team to enhance performance and achieve departmental goals.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven 5+ years of experience in materials management or supply chain leadership within a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• Expert proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced inventory management software.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills with a track record of optimizing material flow and cost.
• In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, demand planning, and inventory control techniques.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience with advanced ERP module implementation (e.g., S&OP, WMS)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
