Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based Social Worker position is available to support the well-being and social development of elementary students during a maternal leave contract. This role is perfect for professionals skilled in providing counseling, crisis intervention, and connecting families with community resources within a school setting.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and group counseling services to students addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
• Conduct assessments to identify students needs and develop effective intervention plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive environments conducive to student success
• Advocate for students and families to facilitate access to social services and community programs
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and confidentiality standards
• Respond to crisis situations promptly and provide appropriate referrals

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure or certification as a Social Worker
• Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school or related setting
• Strong communication, organizational, and counseling skills
• Ability to build rapport with students, families, and school staff
• Knowledge of community resources and social service systems

Location: Holland, Michigan
