Industrial Painter / General Laborer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintain compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and Company safety standards.
• Apply paint and other coatings to various surfaces, including preparing parts by cleaning, sanding, and repairing defects as needed.
• Inspect parts for quality, including weld integrity, surface imperfections, and overall finish.
• Mix paints to match specified colors and operate equipment such as paint sprayers, sanders, and sandblasters.
• Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, cranes, etc.) and perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean work area and ensure good housekeeping practices.
• Assist in other departments as temporarily assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training
• Prior painting experience preferred
• Ability to maintain tools, equipment, and work area
• Skill in distinguishing quality paint jobs
• Commitment to efficiency, quality, and safety standards
