Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Request for Quotes (RFQs), blueprints, and technical specifications to determine project scope and requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams to gather necessary information for accurate costing.
• Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs, applying appropriate markups and pricing strategies.
• Prepare and submit detailed, accurate, and competitive quotations to customers within specified deadlines.
• Maintain comprehensive records of all quotes, pricing data, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
• Follow up on submitted quotes to gather feedback, address customer inquiries, and negotiate terms.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities or process improvements within the quoting function.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and production costs.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and quoting software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for cost estimation and proposal development.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.

Bonus Qualifications

• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes or ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with advanced features of ERP/CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Salesforce) relevant to quoting.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, advanced Excel) for cost modeling and trend analysis.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
