As our Outbound Logistics Coordinator, you orchestrate shipment preparation, documentation, and carrier scheduling so products leave our facility accurately and on time. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced setting, partner closely with warehouse teammates, and keep quality and safety at the forefront.
A day in the role
You begin by reviewing the day’s orders, selecting proper packaging, and preparing each shipment to spec. You create precise labels and documents for tracking and inventory, schedule pickups with carriers, and capture every movement in our records. Along the way, you verify quality, resolve any discrepancies, and keep the shipping area clean and safe.
What you’ll handle
- Prepare and package outgoing orders in line with company standards.
- Create accurate labels and documentation for shipment tracking and inventory.
- Coordinate pickup and delivery timing with carriers.
- Maintain thorough shipping records and inventory logs.
- Inspect inbound and outbound shipments for quality and accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve shipping discrepancies or issues.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to maintain efficient flow.
- Uphold safety protocols and keep work areas orderly.
What you’ll bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, or logistics preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational habits.
- Comfort working independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to support various shifts as needed.
Tools and know‑how
- Hands-on packaging experience.
- Background in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with FedEx Ship Manager.
