The Reimbursement Specialist Position:

The Reimbursement Specialist will report to the Director of Operations and will be responsible for timely and accurate billing activities, including interactions with third-party payers and patients and maintaining records. This role will interact with staff, management, patients, and referral sources.

Job duties include, but are not limited to: Organize and plan the billing activities, verification of coverage, communicating with third-party payers and patients, resolving complaints and discrepancies, record keeping, processing payments, processing claims, participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies, and ensure department meets or exceeds accreditation standards and “best practices” in all departments.

Preferred Experience, Skills and Abilities for the Reimbursement Specialist Position:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred or equivalent work experience
• Experience in home infusion reimbursement preferred
• MS Office proficiency, including Excel, Word and Outlook
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy
