Job Title: Patient Registrar

Location: Grand Blanc, MI 48439
Contract Type: 6-Month Assignment (Possible Extension)
Shift Options: 12-8p/2p-10p Flex – 6am - 630pm/930am – 10pm 6am - 630pm 6pm - 630amSchedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 days/week (36 hours/week guaranteed)

Pay Range- $17/hr. - $18/hr.

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the Patient Registrar follows established protocols for bedside registration and front-end intake operations. Duties include in-person and telephone registration, insurance verification, pre-registration, eligibility checks, and collecting patient co-pays. ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy, accuracy, and a strong understanding of healthcare administrative processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform patient registration and insurance verification in hospital or clinical settings.
• Welcome patients and provide exceptional front-desk service.
• Confirm insurance eligibility, collect co-pays, and update patient demographics.
• Answer patient inquiries and advocate for patient needs.
• Handle data entry with precision in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow HIPAA and hospital protocols during patient interactions.
• Maintain communication with clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Required Skills & Experience:
• At least 1 year of experience in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of patient admitting, registration, and insurance eligibility.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
