Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a General Laborer, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving safety procedures by installing metal fences on the robotics floor. Your tasks will include removing tape from floors, cleaning, moving inventory, and staging inventory. This position requires someone who is comfortable with heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds repetitively, and thrives in a loud and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Remove tape from floors and clean designated areas.
• Move and stage inventory efficiently.
• Install metal fences on the robotics floor to enhance safety procedures.
• Use various hand and power tools, including drills, impact drivers, screwdrivers, rulers, hammers, and torque wrenches.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks, up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Build and assemble metal frames and gating on the robotics floor.
• Drill into concrete using power tools.
• Ensure punctuality and reliability.
• Maintain a safety-conscious attitude.
• Collaborate effectively as a team player.
• Conduct repetitive tasks including lifting, pulling, pushing, and using hand tools such as hammers and drills.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience in installation, construction, carpentry, industrial repair, and assembly.
• Mechanical inclination and skill with tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment up to 50 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical assembly, electrical work, and schematics.
• Familiarity with general labor and production processes.
• Knowledge in quality assurance and inventory management.
• Experience as a general contractor and forklift operation.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled warehouse environment that is loud and can be chaotic. The available shifts are 1st shift from 4:30am to 2:00pm and 2nd shift from 2:30pm to 12:30am. Must be available Monday-Friday with potential for additional hours.

This is a Contract position based out of Detroit, MI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
