Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a K-12 school located in Detroit, MI. This position is a contract role for the 2023-2024 school year, offering 30 hours per week across five days. The caseload will primarily focus on middle and high school students within a single school building.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an SLP with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferably middle and high school age groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and students
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and maintain accurate documentation
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide individualized speech and language therapy services to students
- Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate communication goals into the classroom
- Track student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Participate in team meetings and communicate regularly with families and school personnel
