Job Title: Welder Fitter Job Description

• We are seeking a skilled Welder Fitter to join our team
• This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints to perform the initial fit-up of welded assemblies, working closely with engineering when needed, and operating with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, both detail and assembly
• Perform initial fit-up of welded assemblies using pre-cut steel plates
• Communicate directly with engineering as required
• Use micrometers and precision measuring instruments effectively
• Operate overhead cranes with up to 50-ton capacity
• Operate fork trucks and man lifts safely
• Manually lift 20-25 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Use proficient fitting skills to manipulate work

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 years experience in blueprint reading
• Proficiency in 1-inch plate fitting and welding
• At least 3 years of Flux Core/MIG welding experience
• A minimum of 2 years of fitting experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $60000.00/yr.

2 weeks PTO, 401k, medical/dental/vision

This is a fully onsite position in Auburn Hills,MI.
