Job Title: Part Racker (Paint | Wash)
Location: Sandusky, MI

Environment: Production, Assembly, Metal Fabrication, Assembly Line
Pay:
- 1st shift: $16.19/hr
- 2nd shift: $16.69/hr
- Weekly Pay via Direct Deposit or Pay Card
- Over Time (1.5x): After 40 hrs/wk
Shift:
- 1st (Mon - Thurs 6:00 am – 4:30pm)
- 2nd (Mon - Thurs 4:30 pm – 3:00 am)
- Frequent Fridays (8 hour shift) and Saturdays (6 hour shift)
- Approximately 40-55 hours per week

- Upon Hire In: Consistent Performance Reviews and Raises. $1.00/hr raise once hired in. A second raise after another 90 days. And then every 6 months after that, up to 42 months.

Job Summary:
As a global leader in technology and engineering, this facility is seeking a highly skilled Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in Sandusky, MI. Job Description:
- Parts Processing & Line Setup: Rack and unrack metal parts onto hooks or conveyor belts for finishing. Perform tool, fixture, and test setup changeovers per routing requirements.
- System Operation & Data Entry: Input part information into the computer system to initiate automated dipping sequences. Monitor and manage part flow through paint, wash, and solution basins.
- Finishing & Handling: Offload completed parts and accurately place them into designated bins or storage containers. Operate tumblers to deburr metal beads and maintain edge quality.
- Marking & Identification: Use small bench-top stamping machines to imprint part numbers or letters for traceability and part recognition.
- Quality & Inspection: Read and interpret basic blueprints, BOMs, and routers. Conduct visual inspections to identify and contain suspect or nonconforming product.
- Organization & Accuracy: Maintain clean, organized work areas. Ensure parts are properly sorted and placed in correct containers for downstream processing.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety, housekeeping, and operational protocols. Promptly report unsafe conditions or equipment concerns to supervisors.
- Other Duties : Work independently with repetitive tasks while accurately following instructions. Support general production activities and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years Assembly Experience
- Ability to measure parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions and blueprints.
- Punctuality, positivity, team player attitude
- Ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs unassisted and stand for up to 10 hours per day
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to submit to background check and drug screening
- Must provide and wear composite or steel-toed boots/shoes
