Materials supervisor manufacturing
Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Materials Supervisor Manufacturing to join their dynamic team. As a Materials Supervisor Manufacturing, you will play a crucial role in overseeing material management processes, ensuring seamless operations, and supporting the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, aligning successfully with the organization's goals and values.
Job Title: Materials Supervisor Manufacturing
Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49512 (Onsite)
Pay Range: $32hr -$45hr
(must be a USC or Green Card Holder and local to the area)
What's the Job?

Supervise and coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials within the manufacturing facility.

Ensure inventory accuracy through regular audits and proper documentation.

Collaborate with production teams to meet material requirements and production schedules.

Implement safety protocols and maintain compliance with industry standards.

Lead and motivate a team of material handlers and support staff to achieve operational excellence.
What's Needed?
Key Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).

Experience:
-
2+ years supervising a team (10+ direct reports preferred).
-
Background in materials management and inventory control.

Skills:
-
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
-
Familiarity with SAP and scheduling tools.

Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Competencies

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
