Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Facilities & HVAC)
Role Overview
We’re seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to keep our building infrastructure and production assets running safely and efficiently. You’ll perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive/predictive maintenance across plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems to support site objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain building, facility, and machinery systems; complete general repairs to ensure efficient production.
- Install, evaluate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment.
- Execute safety-first maintenance practices, including predictive and productive maintenance aligned with business goals.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and restore equipment to safe, optimal operating condition.
- Participate in planning and execution of facility moves/expansions and support physical relocations as needed.
- Identify work outside the role’s scope and notify the Manufacturing Manager when external experts are needed (e.g., security and fire alarm systems).
- Ensure facilities and production assets are maintained for uptime and reliability.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- AA degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance and/or related certifications preferred; apprenticeship experience a plus.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing facility operations and safety procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude from hands-on experience, vocational training, or related activities.
- Proficient with hand/power tools, electric meters, material handling equipment, carpentry tools, and measuring instruments.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with management, office teams, and shop personnel.
- Effective time management and organization; able to prioritize and work independently.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of CNC machinery.
- Welding experience.
- Computer proficiency.
Physical & Other Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Flexible schedule.
