Step into Precision: A Day on Our Press Brake Team
On our 2nd shift four-day workweek, you’ll arrive to a clean, organized workstation and gear up with required PPE. Your first task: verify tooling and set up the press brake for the production run. You’ll form parts to exact specs, checking each critical dimension with precision measuring instruments and recording results to maintain reliable quality documentation.
As parts come off the machine, you’ll keep accurate counts, then label containers with customer name, part number, quantity, and shop order details so downstream teams can move quickly. You’ll stay in close contact with your supervisor and teammates to confirm priorities and coordinate material flow. When the unexpected happens, you’ll put your mechanical and equipment troubleshooting skills to work to keep production moving safely and efficiently.
What you’ll handle- Use precision measuring tools to confirm parts meet specifications
- Inspect and document measurements to maintain quality records
- Count finished parts and tag containers with complete identifiers
- Communicate with co-workers and supervisor to align on tasks
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required safety apparel
- Meet established quality and performance targets throughout the shift
- Keep the machine, tooling, and workstation clean and orderly every day
- Equipment troubleshooting
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Material handling experience
- Valid forklift license
- Experience setting up machines for production runs
- Solid shop math skills
2nd Shift positions available for four ten-hour days. Hourly rate plus a 20% shift premium.
