Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs for complex manufactured components.
• Interpret engineering blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications to define accurate measurement strategies.
• Operate CMM machinery to execute inspection programs and collect precise dimensional data.
• Analyze measurement results, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs and measurement processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve dimensional issues and improve product quality.
• Perform routine calibration checks and maintenance on CMM equipment and software.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.
• Hands-on experience with CMM operation, setup, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CAD software for model import and feature creation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners).
• Advanced proficiency in a specific CAD software beyond basic model import (e.g., CATIA, NX, SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles.
• Lean / Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification.
