As an Environmental Services Technician, you play a key role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming space where participants, staff, and visitors feel comfortable the moment they walk in. From keeping rooms spotless and supplies organized to safely using cleaning equipment and following infection-control practices, your work helps protect everyone’s health and brighten the day for those we serve. Key Responsibilities
Maintaining and clean and sanitary environment for offices and conference rooms, common spaces, bathrooms, shower rooms, storage and laundry rooms, and clinic space. This includes:
Cleaning and Sanitizing
- Clean, sanitize, and polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly.
- Clean and maintain work carts, cleaning equipment, and supply storage areas.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Adhere to all safety regulations to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly facility.
- Use, handle, and dispose of personal protective equipment (PPE) according to established guidelines.
- Report hazardous conditions, safety concerns, or faulty equipment to supervisors promptly.
Supplies and Inventory
- Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of cleaning supplies and notifying supervisors of low or missing items.
- Ensure storage areas are clean, organized, properly labeled, and secured at all times
General Duties
- Attend departmental meetings and follow policies and procedures as directed.
- Maintain a warm, positive, and calm environment for participants, staff, and visitors.
- Operate in accordance with state, federal regulations, and organizational policies/standards.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Experience in housekeeping/custodial work, required.
- One (1) year of experience working with the frail elderly, required.
- CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, self-directed and highly organized.
- Knowledge of safety regulations for handling cleaning supplies and maintaining a safe environment.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
