Auto Body Technician
Careerscape is hiring for a Detroit auto body shop that needs skilled Technicians to repair collision damage and restore vehicles to pre-accident condition. You'll work on structural repairs, panel replacement, and refinishing.

- Repair collision damage to vehicle bodies and frames
- Remove and replace damaged panels and parts
- Align and straighten vehicle frames using frame machine
- Weld and bond replacement panels properly
- Prep surfaces and apply body filler
- Sand and finish repairs for paint
- Install mechanical and electrical components
- Ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards
- Work efficiently to meet production goals
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of auto body repair experience
- I-CAR or ASE certifications preferred
- Strong knowledge of collision repair techniques
- Experience with frame straightening and measuring
- Welding skills including MIG
- Ability to read repair estimates and plans
- Own basic hand and power tools
- Physical ability to lift heavy parts and panels
