As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Troy, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations with integrity, reliability, and teamwork while contributing to a welcoming environment for shoppers, guests, and staff.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, stock areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unusual conditions to local management and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support asset protection and loss prevention efforts by observing customer and visitor activity, assisting with security-related concerns, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
