MIG Production Welder & Metal Fabrication Specialist

Step into a day on our fabrication floor

You roll up to your station, review the blueprint and welding specifications for the job, and plan your weld sequence. You set up your MIG welder, check your torch and hand tools, and confirm measurements with solid math. By mid-morning, you’re laying clean, consistent beads on various metal components. After lunch, you transition to fabricating parts on the press brake, coordinate a safe lift with the crane, and handle a quick rigging assist. Before you wrap, you solder a small assembly, thread a pipe to spec, and leave the area spotless—because safety and a clean workspace matter.

What you’ll do

• Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal components with high quality and consistency
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications to plan each job
• Set up and operate welding equipment—including MIG welders, torches, and related hand tools
• Fabricate parts using press brake machines, overhead cranes, and other shop equipment
• Assist with machining and rigging tasks as needed
• Complete soldering and pipe threading work when required
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

What you bring

• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques and processes
• Strong basic math skills for measurements and fit-up
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specs
• Hands-on experience with press brake machines, cranes, and shop fabrication tools
• Familiarity with soldering and pipe threading methods
• Knowledge of FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) is a plus
• Keen attention to detail and craftsmanship in every weld
• Problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently or on a team
