Travel Registered Nurse OR Job

Healthforce by TLC
Midland, MI
Step into a high-impact role as a Travel Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, based in Midland, Michigan. In this OR position, you’ll be at the center of patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, guiding teams through precise workflows, sterile technique, and compassionate advocacy. Your perioperative expertise will support surgeons across a diverse caseload—from routine repairs to complex reconstructions—ensuring safety, efficiency, and optimal patient outcomes. This assignment isn’t merely a job; it’s a chance to shape healing journeys, mentor colleagues, and sharpen your clinical judgment in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. Michigan offers a rich tapestry of experiences, blending robust urban amenities with natural beauty. After shifts, you can explore Michigan’s lakes, dunes, and forested escapes—pursuing outdoor pursuits, foodie scenes, and vibrant cultural offerings in and around Midland. The state’s varied landscapes invite you to unwind and recharge, from serene shoreline strolls to scenic drives through verdant countryside.

Working in Midland brings you into a community that values teamwork, innovation, and patient-centered care. You’ll enjoy the appeal of a supportive hospital setting, modern facilities, and a culture that prioritizes professional growth for traveling clinicians. This assignment provides a structured, reliable path within a fixed schedule, including guaranteed hours and predictable weekly pay, while also offering the potential to broaden your horizons by experiencing additional U.S. locations through future assignments. The role aligns with your schedule and life goals, delivering consistency alongside opportunities to expand your clinical repertoire and leadership capabilities. The Midland base is ideal for clinicians who appreciate a balanced lifestyle, with access to regional amenities, family-friendly neighborhoods, and a welcoming community that reminds you why you chose a career in perioperative nursing.

As an OR RN in this travel assignment, you’ll own a comprehensive set of responsibilities designed to develop mastery in perioperative care. You’ll participate in preoperative assessments, support anesthesia teams, and ensure meticulous sterile technique and instrument handling. You’ll coordinate positioning, monitor patient status intraoperatively, and oversee counts and documentation to prevent errors. You’ll advocate for patient safety, comfort, and dignity while collaborating with surgeons, surgical technologists, and circulating nurses to maintain an efficient, safety-driven environment. The position is designed for growth: you’ll gain exposure to a broad spectrum of specialties, refine your critical-thinking and rapid decision-making under pressure, and position yourself for advanced roles within the OR—whether that means leadership on the floor, specialized certifications, or broader intra-hospital mobility. Benefits are designed to support you holistically, including a competitive compensation package with a sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and potential contract extensions that recognize your reliability and impact. You’ll also have access to robust, 24/7 support from the company as you travel, ensuring help is always a call or message away, whether you’re coordinating case requirements, navigating credentialing, or seeking urgent assistance during assignments.

The company values you as a professional and as a person. It is committed to empowering staff through clear career pathways, ongoing education, mentorship, and a collaborative, respectful work environment. You’ll find programs designed to accelerate your professional development, from in-house training resources to opportunities to pursue specialty certifications, all while maintaining a supportive network that respects work-life balance. The leadership believes in autonomy paired with accountability, recognizing the pivotal role travel nurses play in sustaining high-quality patient care across a network of clinical sites. In this culture, your expertise is valued, your voice is heard, and your contributions directly influence patient outcomes and program growth.

If you’re ready to elevate your OR nursing career while exploring Michigan’s Midwest charm and the broader U.S. landscape, this is your invitation. Apply now to begin a journey that honors your skills, supports your aspirations, and delivers meaningful, tangible impact in the operating room. Start date is 03/16/2026, with guaranteed hours at 40 per week and a weekly pay range of $2,183-$2,239. Assignments run for weeks with potential extensions based on performance and need. The opportunity includes a stable schedule, competitive benefits, and the chance to enrich your clinical expertise across varied cases and sites. Please note: hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary. Final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.
